Do you remember the old James Bond movies? Just think what the bars and lounges looked like. The UNIKUM in Appenweier would fit in there perfectly. The historic oak beams have been restored, the wooden floor newly laid, the walls kept in warm colors. Contrasting with this are the modern ventilation pipes that run along the two floors of the vault in a striking manner.

The newly designed bar with its illuminated wall panels in a rust look and the oak wood is also a real eye-catcher. The contrast makes a harmonic picture - the UNIKUM. The 180 year old masonry vault of the UNIKUM in Appenweier has been restored and now provides the perfect backdrop for the next James Bond movie.
